Since 2019, the Deer Park Drug Prevention Coalition Inc has strived to raise awareness about the devastating impact of drug overdose within our community. Throughout the month of August, we shed light on the overdose crisis by hosting several events including our annual Overdose Awareness Walk and our International Overdose Awareness Day Rally and Candlelight Vigil.

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is a silent killer in all of our towns and communities. A devastating number of people struggle with addiction. While community is one of the strongest factors in recovery, it can be difficult to find support when stigmas are so widespread among us all. In Deer Park Drug Prevention Coalition Inc., we take steps to go against the tide and educate people.
